Developing 21st Century Competences:
The 10-week Young Entrepreneur Program has been meticulously designed to cultivate and nurture 21st-century competences among participants. Through a multifaceted approach that embraces self-directed asynchronous learning, reflective and critical thinking, communication, collaboration and information skills, cultural exposure to both Singapore and Taiwan contexts, and a holistic understanding of how entrepreneurial skills intersect with the self, community, and society, the program aims to empower participants with a comprehensive skill set that transcends traditional boundaries.
Course Synopsis:
In today’s business environment, it is crucial for professionals to have the knowledge and skills to identify new opportunities and develop innovative ideas through entrepreneurship. In this course, students will learn the concepts and practices of entrepreneurship, such as business ideation, marketing, and financial and operations management.
This course will be useful for both enterprising students who may be keen to start their own business and non-business students who wish to acquire a better appreciation of how business function.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Explain the concept and importance of entrepreneurship
• Identify the traits and attributes of successful entrepreneurs
• Evaluate strategies adopted by successful small businesses
• Apply entrepreneurial skills such as ideation, marketing, financial management through an entrepreneurship project
Certification:
Participants will be awarded two digital Certificates of Completion issued by Republic Polytechnic and Emmet Institute upon completion of the course.
